Latest News (30 December 2009)
The BMR has recently seen reports of viruses affecting users trying to visit the site. The problem has been with the ad provider and has been removed. I would like to apologise to all users whom this might've happened to (ads were localised and thus happened only to certain members) and hope we can put this incident behind us and look towards the original intention of the BMR: to provide an excellent resource for Blender artists.
With that I present a long overdue initiative to upgrade the BMR. All interested can check out

All submissions to the Blender Model Repository can be used for any use, be it personal, educational, or commercial
EXCEPT when the author or creator has specified that it may not be used for certain purposes or may only be used for certain purposes in a readme (or similar) file, within the .blend file itself, within the submission description on the Blender Model Repository, or otherwise. If the author/creator is not clear, it will be best for you to contact them personally. The Blender Model Repository (and Dion Moult - me) will not be held responsible in any way for legal or personal problems that might arise from misuse of the content.
